Overview

Designed and developed a comprehensive Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) logistics system. This system facilitates seamless registration of bottles and enables consumers to efficiently participate in recycling efforts.

With a strong focus on user experience, the platform integrates user-friendly interfaces that streamline the process of returning beverage containers for recycling.

Process

I worked closely with project management, stakeholders, and developers to align objectives and ensure the system’s success.

We developed both low- and high-fidelity mockups and prototypes to visualize the system’s functionality and iteratively refine the user experience.

My contributions extended to designing information architecture, user flows, and intuitive interfaces that prioritized usability.

Outcome

Although the DRS system could not be launched in Scotland due to new policies, we successfully developed a scalable and adaptable web application.

Currently implemented in Uruguay, the system simplifies bottle registration and recycling processes while maintaining the ability to expand into new markets efficiently.
